Service updates

Saturday 18th May

All vehicles leaving Cumbrae Slip must be in the ferry queue no later than 8:20pm to guarantee travel.

There is approx 90-minute wait for vehicles joining the queue at Cumbrae Slip. There is no wait time for foot passengers.

Sunday 19th May

Due to crew hours of rest, in order to operate the two vessel service from 07:00 Monday morning, the 19:30 & 20:00 departing Largs and the 19:45 & 20:15 departing Cumbrae have been cancelled.

MV Loch Tarbert will continue to operate to timetable with the last remaining sailings being 19:15 19:45 20:15 departing Largs and 19:30 20:00 20:30 departing Cumbrae.

Until Further Notice

Due to issues with the vehicle ramps on MV Loch Shira, the vessel has been removed from service and is undergoing repairs in drydock.

As a result, two smaller vessels are operating on the Largs-Cumbrae route which means that vehicle capacity is reduced.

We encourage customers, where possible, to travel as foot passengers to/from Cumbrae Slip – there is a frequent local bus service connecting the slipway with Millport town centre.

When travelling with a vehicle, queues can be expected, particular at weekends. Please plan ahead as your first choice of sailing may not be available and wait times may be extended.

We’ll keep customers informed should there be any further changes in connection to this route. If you’ve not already done so, download our app or follow our Twitter @CalMac_Updates so we can provide you with timely updates, with the latest information we have available. Alternatively, you can also sign up to our service status text updates.
