Lismore: Getting there/around

Relaxing Lismore is blessed with beautiful scenery and an abundance of bird and plant life.

This peaceful island, in the Firth of Lorne, is the home to around 300 species of plant and 130 species of birdlife (including buzzards, tawny owls and guillemots).

The historical side of the island can be witnessed through the ancient Bronze Age cairns, Iron Age duns and Pictish brochs.  There are many interesting paths with stunning sea and mountain views ideal for walkers and cyclists (bike hire is available on the island).
