CalMac gears up for 2008 Cowal Gathering

Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne is gearing up for what is often the busiest weekend of the summer season on the Upper Clyde with the Cowal Gathering taking place in Dunoon this weekend August 28-30.

Caledonian MacBrayne understands that industrial action will be taken by Argyll & Bute Council staff at Rothesay and Dunoon piers.  We very much regret that Caledonian MacBrayne has no option but to cancel sailings to the affected piers.

Gaelic on Board 2008

The highly successful "Gàidhlig air a’ Bhàta” (Gaelic on Board) project is back again this year and is working alongside The Gaelic Rings initiative. Information Officers will be on board the ferries making the Oban/Coll/Tiree, Tiree/Barra, Uig/Lochmaddy/Tarbert and the Ullapool/Stornoway crossings.
