Customer Update: Essential services temporary timetable
The recent rapid spread of Covid19 has resulted in many absences within our crew and port teams, with many colleagues testing positive, having to self-isolate or awaiting their PCR test results. This means that from 3 January 2022 until at least 23 January 2022, we will operate an essential services temporary timetable across particular locations around the network.
Affected routes are:
- Ardrossan - Brodick
- Largs - Cumbrae
- Oban - Coll - Tiree
- Oban - Colonsay
- Mallaig - Lochboisdale
- Wemyss Bay - Rothesay
- Tarbert (Loch Fyne) - Portavadie
- Colintraive - Rhubodach (3 January until 11 January)
- Gourock - Dunoon
- Gourock - Kilcreggan (3 January until 11 January)
Oban - Craignure - Please note: On Monday 3rd, 10th and 17th January, the Oban - Craignure: 14:00 and Craignure - Oban: 15:15 are cancelled.
Ports operating reduced hours focused at sailing times are Stornoway, Ullapool, Uig, Lochmaddy, Lochboisdale, Castlebay, Armadale, Mallaig, Coll, Tiree, Ardrossan and Brodick.
These changes will give our customers a greater degree of certainty while also allowing us to focus our current crew resources on maintaining our service to the communities we serve. Reservations will be unavailable for a short period of time to allow us to undertake changes in the system and as soon as these changes are made, we will release any available capacity.
We have published full details of the changes to the timetable pages.
Affected customers will be contacted by port teams to assist with each customer`s individual requirements. Please make sure to check your journey before you travel and please also come prepared for your crossing as all on board food and drink outlets have been closed temporarily.
If your sailing has been affected and you wish to apply for a refund, you can do so via our website.
For service users disrupted by these changes who are required to amend or alter their booking to an alternative sailing, the £10 cancellation waiver will not apply.
When travelling with us, it is so important that you continue to follow our safer travel rules. Face coverings are legally required in our ports and offices and in all indoor areas of our vessels. We really appreciate your help in protecting our crew and the communities we serve. We will keep you informed as we navigate through this period - you can stay up to date by checking our website FAQs for all the latest information on travelling with us.
Please note: due to the ever-changing nature of Covid-restrictions, our timetable can change at extremely short notice. We advise keeping a close eye on our website and social channels to keep as up-to-date as possible.
