The hotel is located in the charming conservation village of Port Charlotte on a beach-side location with stunning sea views. The village was built in whitewashed stone in 1828 by Walter Frederick Campbell (The Laird of Islay) and named after his mother, Lady Charlotte.
The front part of the hotel was built in 1829 as 3 cottages, before it was transformed into a hotel.
