The Port Charlotte Hotel, Islay

Port Charlotte Hotel offers luxury accommodation, fine dining and a friendly atmosphere.

The hotel is located in the charming conservation village of Port Charlotte on a beach-side location with stunning sea views. The village was built in whitewashed stone in 1828 by Walter Frederick Campbell (The Laird of Islay) and named after his mother, Lady Charlotte.

The front part of the hotel was built in 1829 as 3 cottages, before it was transformed into a hotel.

Convenient for all the best Islay visitor attractions and activities, including the 8 Islay malt whisky distilleries, great golf at the Machrie, and some of the best bird watching and wildlife watching in Scotland.
