Cruise Ships

It is recommended cruise ships of greater than 180m do not enter Oban Bay. Anchorage No 4 is suitable for large cruise vessel within Oban Bay and anchorge No 3 to the west of the north entrance is suitable for cruise vessels larger than 180m. Cruise vessels are requested not to anchor in the approaches to the ferry berths. NLB Pier and North Pier can accommodate vessels of up to 100m and 5m draught alongside.

Cruise Ship TendersMultiple Cruise Ship tenders can land at Kerrera . This is a non ISPS compliant facility. Please contact Oban Harbour Manager to discuss  security arrangements.

Ferry MovementsThere are 28 ferry sailings daily.  These are from Gallanach slip, 550m to Kerrera Slip. 
AnchorageThere are 4 designated anchorages at Oban. Anchorages No.1 & No.2 are suitable for vessels up to 24 m. Anchorages No.3 is outside the bay and suitable for any vessel, ancgorage No.4 is suitable for vessels up to 180m. Anchoring in any other area is not advised.
MooringsOban Community Berthing has 16 visitor moorings and a landing jetty accessible at all states of the tide.
PontoonsOban marina provides all facilities and services, including an excellent bar and restaurant. Oban Transit Berth Facility, operated by the council, provides pontoon landing, berthing for up to 72 hours, power, water toilet and shower facilities.
