The submission:
Dunoon Burgh Hall Trust will establish Creative Saturdays for 7-17 year olds living in Dunoon and across Cowal. These would be weekly Saturday workshops in visual art, crafts and dance and they will delivered by professional facilitators. This will bring exciting new opportunities for young people who do not normally have access to such expertise in a rural community. Current opportunities on a weekly basis for children and young people include drama (in the form of YouthSTUFF), and Allsorts (a weekly singing group). These take place after school.
Why were they chosen?
CalMac's support allows Dunoon Burgh Hall Trust to expand their offering for young people and to develop an engagement programme on a Saturday.
