I have not yet cancelled my tickets for a holiday I plan to take on the islands later this July, August, September - is this advisable?
We are currently working on establishing a new timetable with Transport Scotland. We will update our customers as soon as a new timetable has been agreed. You'll be able to stay up to date on this via our website and social media channels.
The new timetable will be in line with Scottish Government and Transport Scotland guidelines. It's important to understand that we won't be able to automatically revert to our usual summer timetable, instead it will be the next phase of our current essential services timetable.
We recognise the unique position of island and rural communities, and we need to balance this with any lessening of lockdown limitations. This means, any future easing of travel restrictions to the islands must be gradual and carefully planned.
The new timetable will still prioritise lifeline services and supplies. We will also need to build in social distancing measures and guidance into our operations, which will also reduce our capacity on sailings.
