Covid-19 Customer Updates and Travel Advice
Back to Essential Travel

If someone from my immediate family is terminally ill, can I travel to visit them? How do I evidence this?

Yes. You can travel if you are able to evidence this with the help of the medical professional(s) on the island who is/are currently caring for your relative. This must be in line with the visiting arrangements at hospitals and care facilities. When permitted to travel, you would be able to travel over and visit the family member, but we ask that you follow Scottish Government guidance as you will not be able to travel back and forward regularly.
