Customer Update: Ongoing weather disruption from 23 February

Customer Update: Ongoing weather disruption

Wednesday 23 February

As many of our customers will know, further poor weather is forecast for the rest of this week, 23 February onwards. This is likely to last over the weekend and continue into next week - and it will bring further disruption to our network.

Disrupting or cancelling sailings is always our last resort. Over 70% of our staff live and work locally - and we truly understand the impact on the communities we serve. We will always avoid cancellations where possible, but the safety of our passengers and staff must always take priority, and we must avoid damage to our vessels.

We will continue to publicise any disruption through our usual channels, we've set these out below. We will also take any opportunities during calmer periods to run additional sailings where possible - as we have been doing in recent weeks.

If you plan to travel, please always check our service status and information before you set off.

Please also follow our advice on staying in touch with us too - as circumstances and conditions can change at short notice. In addition to checking service status and information which carry the latest information on each route, you can stay connected:

Should you need to speak with us, direct message or tweet us at @CalMac_Updates from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week, or call our customer engagement centre between 7am-7pm, Monday-Friday and between 8am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

You can also find out more about our decision-making process around weather related disruptions on the Frequently Asked Questions section of our website.

We appreciate your continued patience.
