Customer Update - services to and from Castlebay
Our services are currently being affected by a series of delays to our annual overhaul schedule and its subsequent impact on vessel deployment. As we move through this period, we will continue to share the latest information with our customers and communities on our website and social media channels. Given the nature of our plans, this will often be by on a route-by-route basis.
Services to and from Castlebay
Up to 22 March
Due to Highland Council's delay to their infrastructure works at Uig Harbour, the amended timetable in operation will continue to operate on this route up to and including 22 March to avoid berthing clashes in Oban with the increased Lochboisdale service.
23 March - 8 April
As a result of berthing issues in Oban, an amended timetable of 5 days per week will be in place from 23 March up to and including 30 March.
From 31 March - 8 April, there will be a daily service between Castlebay-Oban, operating by MV Isle of Lewis on an amended timetable.
Timetable details can be found here.
The scheduled summer timetable will operate from 9 April.
We know that with no spare vessels and limited deployment options, this is a challenging period for our customers and the communities we serve. We have said this in the preceding weeks, and the sentiment remains as strong - we are sorry for the effect this is having on you. Our team's focus continues to be on resuming a normal service as quickly as possible. We will continue to share the latest information we have with you.
