Customer Update - Services to and from Lochboisdale
Customer Update - services to and from Lochboisdale
Due to delays in our annual overhaul programme and its subsequent effect on vessel deployment around the network, we have been reviewing our timetable and deployment plan for services to/from Lochboisdale for 23 March onwards.
Uig harbour is expected to reopen on 23 March 2023 following scheduled completion of works by Highland Council. We will then revert to the winter timetable of five sailings per week between Lochboisdale-Oban, with no sailings on Tuesday 28 March and Thursday 30 March. This service will be operated by MV Isle of Mull.
From 31 March - 8 April the service will operate a daily service between Lochboisdale and Oban. This is a reduction to the normal summer service, which would normally operate between Lochboisdale-Mallaig, two returns per day three days a week, and one return per day five days per week. The normal summer timetable service is expected to resume from 9 April when MV Lord of the Isles returns to the route.
We know that with no spare vessels and limited deployment options, this is a challenging period for our customers and the communities we serve. We have said this in the preceding weeks, and the sentiment remains as strong - we are sorry for the effect this is having on you. Our team's focus continues to be on resuming a normal service as quickly as possible. We will continue to share the latest information we have with you.
