Ticket validity for Turn Up and Go routes - an important reminder

Our summer timetable has now begun - which runs from 28 March 2025 to 19 October 2025. As always, we are keen to remind our customers about ticket validity for our Turn Up and Go routes - specifically unused single and return tickets, or unused portions of 10-journey tickets.

As we are now in our summer timetable season, we are keen to remind you about ticket validity for our Turn Up and Go routes - specifically unused single and return tickets, and unused journeys on 10-journey tickets. It’s important for you to consider this information for any unused tickets that were valid for the winter timetable. 

Please read the information below. When planning to advance purchase tickets for Turn Up and Go routes, consider how you intend to use them before doing so.

Turn Up and Go - single and return tickets  

Turn Up and Go single and return tickets are valid for use within the timetable season for which they are purchased - either winter or summer. They cannot be used outside that timetable season, and they are non-refundable.   

Winter 2024/2025 - single and return tickets

Single and return tickets for the winter 2024/2025 timetable season (21 October 2024 - 27 March 2025). Tickets purchased for dates during the winter 2024/2025 timetable season could only be used up to and including 27 March 2025.

This means that those single and return Turn Up and Go tickets purchased up to and including 27 March 2025 (the last day of our winter timetable period), will not be valid during the summer timetable period, which started on 28 March 2025.

Summer 2025 - single and return tickets  

Single and return tickets for the summer 2025 timetable season are valid for the period 28 March 2025 to 19 October 2025. Tickets purchased during the summer 2025 timetable season can be used from 28 March 2025 up to and including 19 October 2025.

Turn Up and Go - 10-journey tickets  

Turn Up and Go 10-journey tickets are valid for use within the timetable season for which they are purchased - either winter or summer. All 10 journeys must be used within the timetable season for which they have been purchased and cannot be carried over into the subsequent timetable season. Unused journeys are non-refundable. 

Winter 2024/2025 - 10-journey tickets

10-journey tickets for the winter 2024/2025 timetable season (21 October 2024 - 27 March 2025) journeys on these tickets could only be used up to and including 27 March 2025. Unused journeys cannot be carried over into the summer 2025 season and are non-refundable.

Summer 2025 - 10-journey tickets

10-journey tickets for the summer 2025 period (28 March 2025 to 19 October 2025) are available to purchase. If purchasing online, select the 'S-25' option on our booking system. Journeys on these tickets can be used from 28 March 2025 to 19 October 2025, inclusive.

Please make sure you consider this information whenever you are making your Turn Up and Go purchase(s) especially as we approach the end of a winter/summer season.

Why is my single / return ticket for a Turn Up and Go route no longer valid after the new timetable season begins?

Tickets purchased for our Turn Up and Go routes are valid for use in the timetable season for which they are purchased - either winter or summer, and are non-refundable.   

Can I amend my 10-journey ticket product if I still have tickets to use from the previous season and transfer them to the new season timetable?  

No. The 10-journey ticket product cannot be amended. Unused journeys are not usable after the end of the timetable season for which the product was purchased - either winter or summer, so it's important that you consider how you plan to use this product carefully before purchasing.

Can I get a refund, or a partial refund, for my 10-journey ticket if I have unused journeys?  

No. Unused 10-journey tickets cannot be refunded or partially refunded, so it's important that you consider how you plan to use this product carefully before purchasing.

What to be aware of if you are purchasing a Turn Up and Go ticket from a port, ticket office or vessel?
