Are there any routes where advance standby isn't available?

Following ongoing discussions with Transport Scotland, Mull & Iona Ferry Committee and Coll and Tiree Community Councils, we have agreed to continue a deck space reservation pilot on Oban-Craignure and Oban-Coll-Tiree routes.  

From the beginning of the Summer 2025 timetable, the pilot has now also been extended to all sailings on the Sound of Harris and most sailings of the Sound of Barra with the exception of; 

• 11:10 and 15:40 departing Barra, Monday - Saturday

• 10:10 and 13:00 departing Eriskay, Monday - Saturday

This pilot allows customers with last minute travel needs to travel when a sailing may otherwise be fully booked.

This means that advance standby is not available on the above routes with the exception of the Sound of Barra sailings mentioned above.
