Read our passenger travel checklist to prepare for your journey.

Making an online reservation for Islay: when booking travel to/from Islay online, please select the port you plan to travel to/from - either Port Ellen or Port Askaig. If you wish to use different ports for each leg of a return journey, please use the 'multi-island' booking feature when prompted to select ticket type. This feature can be used to bundle multiple journeys across our network.

Planning ahead:  Book your ticket online in advance of travel - even if you're a foot passenger. eTickets can be scanned from your device.  

Concessions: SPT Ferry Card, SPT Companion Ferry Card and Blue badge concessions are available online and can be applied to your ticket. Please carry your concession card with you.

Group passengers: for tickets purchased online for any number of travelling companions the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to all legs of the journey. If you are unsure whether all group members will travel together, please make separate bookings.

Campervans/Motorhomes/Caravans: before you travel, read about the motorhomes, campervans and caravans standby process.

Travelling with a bike: if travelling as a foot passenger and bringing a bike, please add it to your transaction. The bike ticket is free of charge. If you have a vehicle travelling with a bike or roof rack, please add details when prompted during the booking process.
