Tickets: Book your ticket online, in advance of travel, even if you’re a foot passenger. If you are taking a vehicle you must have a permit to travel and contact the Mallaig office on 01687 310240, select option 2 on a touch-tone phone. All bookings must be made no later than 16:00 on the previous working day.

Check-in: 30 minutes prior to departure for vehicles and 20 minutes for foot passengers - otherwise space will be reallocated. Late check-in may also lead to refusal of carriage.

Request sailings: Sailings operate on a Sunday by request only. You can view these sailings on the winter timetable download for this route. Contact our Customer Engagement Centre no later than 16:00 the previous working day.

Day return tickets are not always possible on this service: due to the nature of this timetable and check-in requirements, it is not always possible to travel to your specified island on a day return. Please check the timetable for details.

Non-landing cruise tickets for Small Isles are not available on this route: customers must disembark on arrival at the island port and cannot stay on board.

Planning ahead: Book your ticket online in advance of travel - even if you're a foot passenger. eTickets can be scanned from your device.

Excess luggage: Passengers with excess luggage should allow an extra 15 minutes for embarkation.

Concessions: SPT Ferry Card, SPT Companion Ferry Card and Blue badge concessions are available online and can be applied to your ticket. Please carry your concession card with you.

Group passengers: for tickets purchased online for any number of travelling companions the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to all legs of the journey. If you are unsure whether all group members will travel together, please make separate bookings.

Travelling with a bike and other leisure equipment: if travelling as a foot passenger and bringing a bike,  kayak, paddleboard, etc., please add it to your transaction and contact our Mallaig port office on 01687 310240 in advance of travel. Please note that spaces are limited and may not be guaranteed. If you have a vehicle travelling with a bike or roof rack, please add details when prompted during the booking process.

Vehicles: If you are taking a vehicle you must have a permit to travel and contact the Mallaig office on 01687 310240, select option two on a touch-tone phone. All bookings must be made no later than 16:00 one working day before travel. You can obtain a permit by contacting the relevant island. Groups of 6 or more pedal cycles must inform the relevant port office in advance of travel. It should be noted that we may not be able to offer the first sailing of choice, therefore groups may not always be able to travel together.
Light goods vehicles exceeding 6 metres in length, 3.5 tonnes in weight, 3 metres in height, or 2.3 metres in width are charged at commercial vehicle rate.
