Troon - Brodick
Winter timetable until 27 March 2025 Arran services to Brodick will operate to/from Troon only for the remainder of the winter timetable – and into the summer timetable period - with MV Glen Sannox and MV Alfred. Shuttle bus service A shuttle bus will operate between Ardrossan port and Troon port for foot passengers travelling on MV Glen Sannox sailings. A separate bus will continue to operate between Troon train station and Troon port. Shuttle Bus information can be found here.
Tickets Book your ticket online, in advance of travel, even if you’re a foot passenger. All vehicles and passengers must have a valid ticket prior to travel.
Check-in 30 minutes for vehicles and 10 minutes for foot passengers prior to departure. Late check in may result in space being reallocated or vehicles being refused carriage.
24 February - 2 March During this period, MV Isle of Arran will operate alongside MV Alfred to the published timetable. Please be advised, MV Isle of Arran's passage time is slightly longer, and the arrival times will be approx. 5 minutes later than scheduled.
Summer timetable 2025 From Summer 2025, a two-vessel service will operate to Arran for 10 months of the year, except during scheduled overhauls where CalMac will temporarily operate a single-vessel service. MV Caledonian Isles will operate to/from Ardrossan upon her return and MV Glen Sannox will operate to/from Troon, significantly increasing the capacity to Arran.
The summer timetable for 28 March 2025 to 19 October 2025 is available to view and book. Due to delays to annual overhaul and vessel availability we have had to make several deployment changes across our network, including changes to vessels and services on this route. Customer bookings could be subject to changes of times / vessel as we work through changes, however, we’ll update you, should you be affected. Payment Information: we are currently unable to accept cash payments at Troon. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Apple, Google or Samsung Pay.
Alternative route to/from Arran: there is an alternative route to Arran, travelling between Ardrossan - Brodick (from 28 April 2025 – 19 October 2025), or Claonaig/Tarbert to Lochranza.
Concessions: SPT Ferry Card, SPT Companion Ferry Card and Blue badge concessions are available online and can be applied to your ticket. Please carry your concession card with you.
Group passengers: for tickets purchased online for any number of travelling companions the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to all legs of the journey. If you are unsure whether all group members will travel together, please make separate bookings.
