Tickets: Book your ticket online, in advance of travel, even if you’re a foot passenger. All vehicles and passengers must have a valid ticket prior to travel.
Check-in: 30 minutes for vehicles and 10 minutes for foot passengers prior to departure. Late check in may result in space being reallocated or vehicles being refused carriage

Planning ahead: Book your ticket online in advance of travel - even if you're a foot passenger. eTickets can be scanned from your device.
Payment Information: we are currently unable to accept cash payments at Troon. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Apple, Google or Samsung Pay.
Alternative route to/from Arran: there is an alternative route to Arran, travelling between Ardrossan - Brodick, or Claonaig/Tarbert to Lochranza.
Concessions: SPT Ferry Card, SPT Companion Ferry Card and Blue badge concessions are available online and can be applied to your ticket. Please carry your concession card with you.
Group passengers: for tickets purchased online for any number of travelling companions the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to all legs of the journey. If you are unsure whether all group members will travel together, please make separate bookings.
Food and drink: MV Alfred does not offer retail or food facilities. Vending machines are available in our Troon waiting room (card payment only).
Motorhomes: services operated by MV Alfred can accommodate motorhomes of less than 6 metres in length. We cannot carry any vehicle towing a caravan. If you are travelling in a motorhome please make your booking via our Customer Engagement Centre or port of departure. Customers with motorhomes over 6 metres, or towing a caravan, are advised to sail from Ardrossan. View the Ardrossan - Brodick timetable.
Travelling with a bike: if travelling as a foot passenger and bringing a bike, please add it to your transaction. The bike ticket is free of charge. If you have a vehicle travelling with a bike or roof rack, please add details when prompted during the booking process.
Shuttle bus information: Caledonian MacBrayne will be providing a shuttle bus service between Troon train station and Troon ferry terminal, to support foot passengers using the Troon-Brodick service. Shuttle bus information can be found here.
