About the MV Glen Sannox
The MV Glen Sannox, Gleann Sannaig in Gaelic serves the busy route to Arran. Launched in 2017 MV Glen Sannox is not only named after Glen Sannox, a dramatic glen that cuts into the sandstone mountains of Arran but also the name of the first purpose built ferry that served the Isle of Arran until 1989. The name comes from the name the Vikings gave to the area, Sandvik, meaning the Sandy Bay.
