Latest Customer Update - MV Loch Seaforth May 2021

The essential repairs currently being carried out to the MV Loch Seaforth continue to progress well and we are finalising plans for her return to service. 

Specialist engineers are currently working shifts throughout the day and night and they report that she will soon be ready to undertake the required period of sea trials during transit to Stornoway, followed by further inspection on arrival. If successful, we expect that she will be ready to resume service from Monday 31 May. This will be followed by vessel realignment on the other routes affected: 

  • Ardrossan - Brodick 

  • Ardrossan - Campbeltown 

  • Mallaig - Lochboisdale 

  • Mallaig - Armadale 

  • Ullapool - Stornoway 

  • Oban - Castlebay

While we make these changes, new reservations on these routes may be unavailable for the following periods while we accommodate existing passenger bookings:  

Ardrossan - Brodick: new reservations for travel up to midnight on Thursday 27 May are currently unavailable. Reservations are open for travel from Friday 28 May onward, subject to availability. 

Ardrossan - Campbeltown: reservations are open for travel from Thursday 3 June onward, subject to availability. 

Mallaig - Lochboisdale: traffic on this route continues to be diverted via Oban until Tuesday 1 June inclusive. Reservations are open for travel from Wednesday 2 June onward, subject to availability. 

Mallaig - Armadale: reservations for this route are currently open. Normal summer service will resume on Wednesday 2 June. 

Ullapool - Stornoway: new reservations for travel up to midnight on Thursday 27 May are currently unavailable. Reservations are open for travel from Friday 28 May onward, subject to availability.  

Oban - Castlebay: reservations for this route are currently open, however are operating at a limited availability until the return of the MV Isle of Lewis from Wednesday 2 June onward.
