Gourock Diversion
How will I know if the service diverts to Gourock?
If services need to use an alternative port to Ardrossan, we will let passengers know as soon as possible through our regular service updates on our website and social media. You can keep in touch with CalMac via our website, particularly the service status and information pages and on our Twitter page @CalMac_Updates, our service information account.
Will there be transportation provided for foot passengers between ports?
Yes, buses will be provided between Ardrossan and Gourock, as required. Any information on bus transfers will be communicated through our usual service updates channels.
Bus service will be located at the Train Station - Adjacent to Gourock Port
Will there be the same level of service provided if the service diverts to Gourock?
As the passage time to Gourock is significantly increased, (approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to sail from Brodick to Gourock, although this is dependent on river traffic and berth availability at Gourock'), this would reduce the number of sailings that could be provided.

How do I check in at Gourock for a diverted sailing?
Tickets should already be purchased in advance when travelling from our Gourock port on a diverted sailing. Should you still require tickets, these can be purchased either via our website, or by phoning our Customer Engagement Centre.
Foot passengers
There is a ticket office at Gourock which is situated in the waiting room at the terminal. The ticket office is only open during times of disruption, however the waiting room is open outwith disruption. This waiting room provides shelter for foot passengers and allows disrupted customers to get their tickets printed prior to boarding.
Vehicles
There is a ticket booth located at the top of the car lanes at Gourock port - all vehicle passengers should proceed to this booth in order to have their tickets printed. Vehicles will be ushered into the appropriate car lane prior to boarding.
