Rhubodach port

Located on the rugged North East coast of Bute, Rhubodach is a small village that provides an alternative gateway to the island – showcasing the wild side of Bute away from the main town of Rothesay. The CalMac network links Rhubodach with Colintraive in Argyll.

You must purchase or be in possession of a valid ticket before boarding at Rhubodach unless you need to pay by cash. Cash payments can be made at the Colintriave office after disembarking the ferry.

Key information

  • You cannot reserve a specific sailing on this route. However, we advise you purchase your ticket in advance.
  • If you arrive at the port without a ticket we may still be able to carry you. Please speak to ferry staff.
  • Crossing Time: five minutes.
  • Departs every 30 minutes daily – check timetable for exact sailing times.
  • Operates all year round.
