A83 Resurfacing Works
Tuesday 12th of January 2021 for 6 weeks
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing works on the A83 at various locations. The works are programmed to commence Tuesday 12th of January 2021 for 6 weeks. Please refer to the below table for working hours for each respective site.

A83 Meall Mhor Tuesday 23rd Feb – Thursday 24 th Feb (2 Nights) 20:00hrs – 05:00hrs Road Closure Type B
To ensure the safety of both the work force and travelling members of the public, the carriageway will be subject to a lane closure with a 10mph convoy system in place. Access for - emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Road Closure Type B –
With no suitable trunk road diversion available, it will be necessary to close the road at the above Type B sites between 19:00hrs and 07:00hrs each night. As a result, amnesty periods will be provided at the following times: 21:00hrs, 22:00hrs, 00:00hrs, 02:00hrs, and 04:00hrs.
Motorists are encouraged to arrive prior to these times to ensure they are accommodated within the amnesty period. Local access and access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Out with working hours the traffic management will be removed and a 30mph speed limit will be in place at each respective resurfacing site to ensure vehicles can safely pass over the temporary road surface.
