Planned road works on the A85 and A82 at the locations detailed below will proceed starting Tuesday 26th October 2021.

A85 St Conan’s to Innis Chonain
: Tuesday 26th October – Tuesday 2nd November (7 nights) 20:00hrs – 05:00hrs Road Closure
A82 North of Ba Bridge: Sunday 7th November – Tuesday 16th November (8 nights) 20:00hrs – 05:00hrs Road Closure
A82 Loch Achtriochan: Wednesday 17th November - Thursday 25th November (7 nights) 20:00hrs – 05:00hrs Road Closure
No works are planned for Friday or Saturday nights.

It will be necessary to close the road at the above sites between 20:00hrs and 05:00hrs each night. A signed diversion route, will be in place via the A82, A828 and A85 adding an additional 30 miles / 40 minutes to the journey for road users.
There is a height restriction on the A828 at Connel Bridge of 4.2m (13’9”). Vehicles exceeding this height should advance to the closure points where they will be stacked until the road is reopened again.
Amnesties will be in operation at the following times: 21:00hrs, 22:00hrs, 00:00hrs, 02:00hrs and 04:00hrs. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Out with working hours the traffic management will be removed and a 30mph speed limit will be in place at each respective resurfacing site to ensure vehicles can safely pass over the temporary road surface. 

19th October - 23rd December

Due to MV Isle of Arran operating on this route, as part of the annual overhaul programme, passengers will be required to board the vessel via the car deck at Craignure. 

Passengers requiring assistance are advised to speak to a member of port staff on arrival.

Craignure Car Lanes – Please note the car marshalling lanes at Craignure have been extended and there is now a new entry point approx. 50 metres west of the old one. The old entry point is no longer in use.
