Fares and retrospective refunds 

A refund process is in place for the duration of the Uig harbour closure for customers who:  

  • would normally travel Tarbert/Lochmaddy-Uig, but who instead travelled Stornoway-Ullapool, or Lochboisdale-Oban/Mallaig,  

  • would normally travel Lochmaddy-Uig, but were subsequently diverted from Lochmaddy-Ullapool to Lochboisdale-Mallaig/Oban, 

  • have travelled on the alternative route between 30 October and 11 December 2023 when Uig harbour was closed,

  • be able to provide evidence of your booking or ticket purchase,

  • have completed their journey.

If you are a customer who is in any of those categories, please complete our short, dedicated refund form to apply for the difference in ticket price.  

Any customers travelling Lochmaddy-Ullapool instead of Lochmaddy-Uig will be paying the same fare as their normal route so are not required to complete this form.
