MV Isle of Cumbrae, Eilean Chumraigh in Gaelic, was built and launched in Troon in 1976. She initially took up service on the Largs to Cumbrae Slip route before moving around the west coast first to the Lochaline-Fishnish (Mull) route and then the Colintraive - Rhubodach route service before settling in and becoming the regular summer ferry on the Tarbert - Portavadie route.
Onboard the MV Isle of Cumbrae you can find a ship perfectly tailored for a short, comfortable crossing. Relax on our snug passenger lounge (accessed from the car deck, furry friends welcome) or take a seat outside on our deck and marvel at the natural beauty of Scotland’s landscape as it gently drifts past.
