Ardrossan - Brodick

The summer timetable for 28 April 2025 to 19 October 2025 is available to view and book Due to delays to annual overhaul and vessel availability we have had to make several deployment changes across our network, including changes to vessels and services on this route.

28 March – 27 April Alternative route to/from Arran: If you are travelling to / from Brodick between 28 March and 28 April, please be advised that services are currently operating to / from Troon only. Read our latest customer update on Arran services.

There is also an alternative route to Arran between Claonaig – Lochranza from 28 March 2025.

Shuttle buses to/from Troon A shuttle bus will operate between Ardrossan port and Troon port for foot passengers for MV Glen Sannox sailings. Operating from Ardrossan to Troon one hour before sailing departures and operate from Troon to Ardrossan 10-15 minutes after sailing arrivals. A separate bus will continue to operate between Troon train station and Troon port. View full shuttle bus information and timings.

Please note: From Summer 2025 (28 April), upon her return to service, MV Caledonian Isles will operate to/from Ardrossan and MV Glen Sannox will operate to/from Troon, significantly increasing the capacity to Arran.

Tickets Book your ticket online, in advance of travel, even if you’re a foot passenger. All vehicles and passengers must have a valid ticket prior to travel.

Check-in 30 minutes for vehicles and 10 minutes for foot passengers prior to departure. Late check in may result in space being reallocated or vehicles being refused carriage.

Winter timetable 20 October 2025 - 26 March 2026 The Caledonian MacBrayne winter timetable is now finished for the 2024/25 season. The next winter timetables will run from 20 October 2025 – 26 March 2026. We will update customers via our website once we have a release date confirmed.

Payment Information: we are currently unable to accept cash payments at Troon. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Apple, Google or Samsung Pay.

Alternative route to/from Arran: there is an alternative route to Arran, travelling between Ardrossan - Brodick (from 28 April 2025 – 19 October 2025), or Claonaig/Tarbert to Lochranza.

Concessions: SPT Ferry Card, SPT Companion Ferry Card and Blue badge concessions are available online and can be applied to your ticket. Please carry your concession card with you.

Group passengers: for tickets purchased online for any number of travelling companions the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to all legs of the journey. If you are unsure whether all group members will travel together, please make separate bookings.
