Harris Tweed Hebrides
Harris Tweed Hebrides , based in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, manufacture each metre of handwoven fabric in accordance with the Harris Tweed Act 1993, maintaining the integrity and distinctive character of the fabric recognised globally as Harris Tweed.
Harris Tweed Hebrides is the award-winning company based at Shawbost on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis.
As the main producer of Harris Tweed, we export to over 50 countries worldwide and our customers have included designers Alexander McQueen, J.Crew, Celine, Vivienne Westwood as well as many other creatives, both large and small.
As well as beautiful couture, tailoring and clothing collaborations we create a tactile and functional cloth for a wide range of high-end interiors projects, perhaps best showcased in its extensive use within the award-winning 5 Star luxury Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow.
Harris Tweed Hebrides, which was founded only in late 2007, is generally credited with having revitalized the industry and taken the fabric into the front-line of 21st century fashion and design.
We use a range of more than 100 yarns which can be made up into hundreds of patterns by our highly skilled workforce. They represent generations of experience in this craft industry.
