MV Loch Frisa
MV Loch Frisa joining the CalMac fleet in 2022
Following a Ministerial announcement, we are pleased to confirm that MV Loch Frisa (formerly MV Utne) will be joining the CalMac fleet in summer 2022, and will bring additional resilience to the network
The vessel will be deployed on the Oban-Craignure service throughout the summer period from June 2022, replacing MV Coruisk as the second vessel on this route. MV Loch Frisa will berth overnight in Craignure allowing an early morning departure from Craignure and a late evening return, delivering the community ambition for an island centric service.
Current plans will see MV Coruisk be redeployed on the Mallaig/Armadale route in summer 2022.
We will share further details with our customers once these are available. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming MV Loch Frisa to the CalMac fleet.
