Board members sought for David MacBrayne Ltd
Exciting opportunities to help guide the UK's leading ferry and port company have become available.
David MacBrayne Limited (DML) has launched a recruitment drive to find a new Chairperson and up to three non-executive Directors to sit on its Board.
With over 160 years' experience, DML is one of Scotland's longest continually running businesses. It is wholly owned by Scottish Ministers and is a key component of the transport network, providing lifeline ferry connectivity to islands and remote communities through CalMac.
DML employs around 1500 people with an annual turnover of approximately £200 million. It transports more than five million passengers annually and operates 26 ports.
The Board appointments are for three years and will take effect from Autumn 2021 and early 2022. Reappointment is not automatic and is subject to performance and the individual continuing to satisfy the requirements of the role.
Current Chair David McGibbon said: "This is a unique chance to help shape and grow DML and its subsidiary companies, CalMac and Solent Gateway. Playing an active role in the development of these organisations is challenging but also rewarding, and I encourage everyone who would relish this opportunity to apply."
Further details, including how to apply, can be found here. The closing date for completed applications is 28 July 2021.
