Uig Harbour consultation - further date announced
Following community feedback regarding the latest phase of consultations on options being considered to maintain services throughout the Highland Council closure of Uig Harbour, CalMac has announced an additional session.
This session in Lochmaddy will provide opportunities for islanders to discuss options being considered during the closure period and also to engage directly with Highland Councils officials.
Consultations will be held at the following dates/times and locations:
Lochmaddy, Lochmaddy Community Hall: 4 April 2022 at 5.30-8pm;
Benbecula, Balivanich Hall: 5 April 2022 at 5.30-8pm;
Uig Village Hall: 6 April 2022 at 5.30-8pm;
Tarbert Community Centre: 7 April 2022 5.30-8pm.
CalMac Operations Director Robert Morrison said: "These sessions are vital in ensuring island views are considered within alternative service arrangements. We encourage all representatives of the community to attend and ensure their views are presented."
