MV Loch Frisa
About
The MV Loch Frisa operates the service between Oban and Craignure. She was previously named MV Utne and operated by Norled from 2015 to 2021. She was designed for service in a Norwegian fjord, and operated between Utne and Kvanndal on the Hardangerfjord, the second longest fjord in Norway. In December 2021, following a naming competition, CMAL announced her renaming as MV Loch Frisa. The MV Loch Frisa will service the route from Oban - Craignure from summer 2022 all year round as an alternative vessel alongside the MV Isle of Mull.
From Monday 11 July, MV Loch Frisa will operate her full Oban-Craignure timetable, previously operated by MV Coruisk. View our dedicated FAQ page to help answer questions on MV Loch Frisa.
