Caledonian Macbrayne confirms sponsorship of Bee's Knees customer focus award

Caledonian MacBrayne has confirmed sponsorship of the Excellence in Customer Focus Award for Greenock Chamber of Commerce's Bee's Knees Awards.

Representatives from the Gourock-based ferry operator, which won the chamber's Best Performing Large Company accolade in 2014, joined business people from around Inverclyde at a launch event for the 2015 awards at the Waterfront Cinema in Greenock.

"Customer focus is at the heart of everything we do at Caledonian MacBrayne," said Commercial Director Cathy Craig. "We are pleased to support this category and the work of the chamber in helping companies, large and small, across Inverclyde to gain local recognition for their great work.

"The launch was attended by a large number of businesses from across the area and the diversity and quality is remarkable.

"Caledonian MacBrayne is a major employer in the area and it is important for us to forge these links and play our part within the local business community."

In 2014, Caledonian MacBrayne carried 4.65 million passengers, 1.1 million cars, almost 93,000 commercial vehicles and more than 11,000 coaches, highlighting, perhaps, the level of importance the company places on both customer service and care.
