Fèis Ile 2024 | Amended timetables - Islay, Colonsay, Mull and Skye

24 May - 3 June 2024

We will be running additional sailings for visitors travelling to and from Islay's Fèis Ìle in May and June 2024, following consultation with local communities, and other routes will be temporarily impacted as a result. If you have a booking in place that is affected, we do apologise for this, and our port team will be in touch with you in date order to provide further information and support.  

Amended timetables will operate on the following routes and all details can found below. As always, please check our Services Status and Information pages for the very latest details on our services. 

Kennacraig - Port Ellen/Port Askaig (Islay)
Oban - Colonsay
Oban - Port Askaig
Oban - Craignure (Mull)
Mallaig - Armadale (Skye)

An amended timetables will operate between Kennacraig and Islay on Saturday 1 June:

Fèis Ìle parking arrangements and restrictions at Kennacraig 

During the Fèis Ìle period, 24 May to 3 June, parking is limited at Kennacraig port. Please do be aware of this prior to travel and have an alternative plan in mind and allow extra time for your journey to the port. Check-in closes 10 minutes prior to departure for foot passengers. Consider alternative parking locations and bus/ taxi options. For information, local taxi company number in Tarbert is 07930884851. 
Temporary arrangements and restrictions are in place at Kennacraig. However, only limited space is available. A pre-designated parking area is in place for those customers holding a Blue Badge. These spaces will be available on a limited, first-come-first-served basis. 

Commercial vehicle parking restrictions are also in operation.  

Customers are asked to follow instructions from our port team, and the temporary signage which will be in place. 

Parking at Port Ellen and Port Askaig 

During this time, spaces are also limited in the car parks at Port Askaig and Port Ellen, please plan ahead before travelling. 

Colonsay 

An amended timetable will operate between Oban and Colonsay on Saturday 1 June:

*Please note, there will be no link between Islay and Colonsay on these dates 

Oban - Port Askaig

Additional return sailings will operate between Oban and Port Askaig on Saturday 1 June and Sunday 2 June:

*To provide additional capacity MV Isle of Mull will call into Craignure on passage to Port Askaig. This leg to Craignure is for foot passengers ONLY.

Amended timetables will operate on Saturday 1 June and Sunday 2 June:

Saturday 1 June

• MV Loch Frisa will operate to normal timetable.

• The following MV Isle of Mull sailings are cancelled: 0725, 0955 & 1215 ex Oban and 0845, 1105 & 1335 ex Craignure.

• MV Loch Frisa will operate a sailing departing Craignure at 2115 and Oban at 2230

• MV Coruisk will operate the following additional sailings: 0830, 1120 & 1730 ex Craignure and 0955, 1245 & 1900 ex Oban
